Committees

Program Operations Committee
Bill Farrington, Karen Hesley, Matt Ignacio, Jim Paterniti (chair)
Responsibilities: Reviews music, rehearsal and performance concerns. Coordinates with special events. Manages membership records & new member materials. Oversees snack committees, greeters and special programs such as “Smart Moves” and music therapy workshops. Coordinates with Board and other committees.

Marketing Committee
Rick Ankrom, John Castell, Bill Farrington, Karen Hesley (acting chair), Sammy Knight
Responsibilities: Develops marketing and public relations plans and materials for TCSD. Ensures that marketing is integrated into performances, special events, print/mass & social media. Interfaces with medical/therapy, Parkinson’s and business organizations. Coordinates with Board and other committees. Attracts/helps recruit participants, volunteers and donors.
 
Governance Committee
Dan Guevara, Brett Harris, David Higgins, Leigh Johnson (chair)
Responsibilities: Addresses Board, committee and other volunteer recruitment. Develops a succession plan. Undertakes and updates strategic planning. Updates bylaws.  
 
Human Resources Committee
Bill Farrington, Karen Hesley
Responsibilities:  Addresses personnel management for paid staff and short term consultants.  Coordinates with other committees regarding volunteer needs and recruitment.  Coordinates with treasurer to ensure that TCSD is complying with laws and best practices for paid and volunteer personnel.  Performs employee evaluations every 2 years, or more often as needed.  Recruits new essential personnel as needed.a
