Barbara Berlin

Piano Accompanist

I am Barbara Berlin, Piano Accompanist for Tremble Clefs San Diego. I bring a lifetime of musical passion and vibrant energy to the group. A graduate of the prestigious Peabody Conservatory of Music at Johns Hopkins University, I have been enchanting audiences since age nine—when I performed a piano concerto with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra!

After a successful career in marketing and publishing, I returned to my first love: music. I auditioned for Tremble Clefs during the COVID shutdown—when rehearsals were held online—and quickly discovered the joy of making music with people who truly love to sing. Now, I find endless fulfillment accompanying the Tremble Clefs and consider our members part of my extended family. Whether performing, socializing, or sharing laughs at sessions, I treasure the camaraderie that defines the group.

When I'm not at the piano, I am a self-proclaimed “Go-Go Girl,” always eager to explore new adventures. I've gone back to college through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UCSD, taking classes I never had time for before—including acting and improv! I even performed in a stage musical.

A proud mom of three and grandmother of three, I enjoy life’s simple pleasures—especially a good glass of wine and any kind of cheese, from anywhere in the world. I've watched The Ten Commandments more times than I'll admit, and last year I went parasailing in Mexico for the first time—proving I'm always up for a thrill. Next time…ziplining?

If Tremble Clefs ever made a movie, I would love for Sally Field to play me—energetic, warm-hearted, and always ready to say “yes” to life!
