  • Matt Ignacio - Music Director (San Diego Central, North Coastal & North Inland Tremble Clefs)

    In addition to directing all 3 Tremble Clefs choruses, Matt is the Music Director at St. John of the Cross Church, and Music Director for the Young Actors’ Theater in Spring Valley. He attended the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts and then graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Linguistics from SDSU in 2011. He won the 2015 National Youth Arts Award for Outstanding Musical Direction for The Music Man, and he was recently certified as a Song Shine Instructor. A San Diego native, Matt also performs frequently as cantor and soloist throughout the county.

  • ​Barbara Berlin - Accompanist (North Coastal & North Inland Choruses)

    Barbara’s musical experience includes music education, choir conducting and piano performance, as well as accompanying church choirs and the San Diego Children’s Choir. She attended the Peabody Conservatory of Music of Johns Hopkins University, taught music in the Baltimore Public Schools and is a trained piano accompanist. She has continued to stay active in music after moving to California and retiring from a long, successful career in marketing and sales.

  • Sandy Rehart - Bookkeeper

    Sandy graduated with a bachelor’s Degree of Science in Business Administration and Management from the University of Redlands and has over 25 years’ experience in accounting and business leadership. Before opening her own practice, Sandy worked as a controller for companies in diverse industries. Sandy also volunteers to teach QuickBooks through San Diego SCORE, which is how she met the Tremble Clefs. Sandy has been married over 30 years, has two grown daughters, a 5-year-old granddaughter and 3 dogs.

  • Justin Hansen - Accompanist (San Diego Central Chorus)

    Justin has a broad range of musical experience including choral accompaniment and directing; vocal coaching; teaching piano, ear training; sight singing; solo and chamber performance; as well as composition for stage and film. In addition to piano, Justin is skilled at playing cello, viola, guitar, clarinet, bassoon, oboe and organ. He holds a Master’s of Music in Composition for Film and a Bachelor’s of Science in Music (piano).

    Justin is the accompanist for our Tremble Clefs Central Chorus. He currently also accompanies at the San Diego School for the Creative and Performing Arts and plays with the Logos Chamber Trio.

  • Rick Ankrom - Marketing Committee/ Fundraising

    Rick’s career began as a software engineer developing Command and Control systems for the US Navy Aircraft Carriers. He retired in 2006 as a Department Manager at Northrop Grumman. Rick has served on the Board of the San Dieguito Planning Group and the Elfin Forest Town Council. He co-founded the Rancho Bernardo chapter of the North County Parkinson’s Support Group, and with his wife, Linda, the North Inland chorus of the Tremble Clefs. Rick served in the US Army, including Vietnam from 1967-1968. He currently serves on the TCSD Marketing Committee and as a loyal attendee and volunteer for the Board of Directors.

  • Barbara Berlin - Marketing Committee

    Barbara joined Tremble Clefs San Diego as an accompanist and became interested in using her business, advertising & promotional skills to benefit our organization. She has a career history in marketing & sales management with Johns Hopkins University Press, the Maryland Assoc. of CPAs and the Baltimore Business Journal among other companies. This professional experience, as well as her enthusiasm for Tremble Clefs, has made her a valued member of our Marketing Committee. Barbara also has recent involvement in social media and helps manage our FaceBook page.

  • Paul Girard - Program Operations Committee

    Paul Girard is a native of Miami, and a graduate of the Naval Academy in 1965. He married Diana Goad in 1968. He served in the Navy for 23 years, serving five years on surface ships. He then obtained a PhD in Electronics at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey. He specialized in computer systems development at the Naval Electronics Systems Command in Washington, DC and the Navy’s Point Loma laboratory until his retirement in 1988. He continued computer systems development at SAIC and retired again in 2004 after his wife’s death. He sang barbershop harmony with two San Diego choruses and manages a youth harmony program. After his diagnosis with Parkinson’s in 2019, he joined Tremble Clefs.

  • Jim Paterniti - Program Operations Committee, Chair

    Jim’s professional background includes a PhD in classical biology, a fellowship in molecular physiology and a life-long love affair with medical science. Jim has enjoyed international recognition in the pharmacology of diabetes, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2008, Jim went on to create “Minds in Motion” with the goal of empowering people with Parkinson’s and care partners to live well by taking control of the disease. Jim is also a music and dance enthusiast leading to his participation in Tremble Clefs and his dedication to advancing the organization through the Program Operations Committee.

  • Matt Welsh - Marketing Committee/ Fundraising

    Matt is a licensed California contractor since 1990, certified in many specialty areas. Self-employed since 1993, he started Tool Time Construction, Inc. specializing in kitchen and bath remodeling. Now partially retired, he works in residential remodeling and is active in real estate investing. He is a member of 2 real estate investment groups and focuses on continuing education and investment opportunities. Matt is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Miramar Point One Business Park. As Matt tells us, “I have had a successful life in family and business… and feel the need to give back. Thus, my interest in the Tremble Clefs!”
